SES will equip 60+ LATAM Airbus and Embraer aircraft with multi-orbit GEO/LEO inflight connectivity using a new low-profile antenna.

SES said LATAM Airlines selected it to provide multi-orbit inflight connectivity, pairing SES's GEO satellites with the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO constellation, on more than 60 Airbus A320neo, A321XLR and Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, using an electronically steered array antenna less than seven centimeters tall. Via Satellite reported the deal expands an SES-LATAM partnership dating back to the pre-merger Intelsat era; LATAM already operates more than 250 SES-connected aircraft, including over 200 A320-family jets on 2Ku service.
