Redwire said Aug. 12 it signed a teaming agreement with Kanematsu Corporation, inked July 8 at the SPACETIDE event in Japan, under which Kanematsu will support Redwire's business development across Japan's public and private space sector, including power generation systems, microgravity payloads and robotics technology, per Redwire's newsroom.
why it matters
The deal gives Redwire a commercial channel into Japan's growing government and private space market, adding to the company's other recent Japan tie-up with startup SpaceData as it looks to diversify revenue outside the US.
