what happened
Intuitive Machines said Aug. 18 that NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory selected it to provide the spacecraft platform and mission solutions for EAGLE-VSWIR, an Earth Science Division mission, per the company's press release. Built on Intuitive Machines' IM 300 bus, EAGLE-VSWIR will carry a JPL-developed hyperspectral visible-to-shortwave-infrared instrument and is targeted to launch in 2028; Intuitive Machines will perform system-level integration of the instrument and manage mission operations and the ground segment. The company did not disclose a contract value.
