UAE regulator grants Starlink 10-year satellite internet license
The UAE's TDRA granted Starlink Satellite Communications a 10-year license to provide satellite broadband nationwide.

The UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) granted Starlink Satellite Communications LLC a 10-year General Space Services Licence on August 28 to establish, operate and manage a satellite communications network and provide broadband internet services in the UAE, per TDRA's own release. TDRA Director General Majed Sultan Al Mesmar said the network will support connectivity for individuals, businesses and government entities, including the maritime, aviation, energy, logistics and emergency-response sectors, subject to the UAE's security, service-quality, consumer-rights and spectrum-coordination rules.
