SES extends multi-orbit satellite deal with Peruvian Navy
SES
SES will deliver combined GEO and LEO satellite connectivity to the Peruvian Navy's bases, aircraft, and vessels.

what happened
SES said Sept. 3 it extended its collaboration with the Peruvian Navy (Marina de Guerra del Peru) to deliver sovereign, multi-orbit satellite connectivity combining geostationary and low-Earth-orbit services. The agreement covers the Navy's coastal bases, aircraft, and vessels operating in Peru's maritime domain, including secure communications aboard the training ship BAP Union during its Foreign Training Voyage VIEX-2026.
why it matters
The deal extends SES's defense-sector footprint in Latin America beyond its existing GEO-only Peruvian Air Force contract on SES-14, pairing GEO capacity with LEO service to give the Navy encrypted, sovereign control over its own communications infrastructure. No financial terms were disclosed.
