Lite Coms wins Boeing Defence Australia contract for BLOS terminals
Boeing · Lite Coms
Boeing Defence Australia selected Lite Coms to supply tactical satcom terminals for the Australian Defence Force's LAND 4140 program.

what happened
Boeing Defence Australia selected Lite Coms to supply its LITE SAT 1.3A tactical satellite terminals for the LAND 4140 Land C4 Modernization beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) satcom program, the companies announced Sept. 22. Lite Coms said the LITE SAT 1.3A is a lightweight, tool-free terminal supporting multi-orbit (LEO, MEO, GEO, HEO) connectivity. Boeing Defence Australia was selected by the Australian government in August to deliver Class Two BLOS SATCOM ground terminals for the ADF. No contract value was disclosed.
why it matters
It is Lite Coms' second disclosed US-allied government award this year (after a $22 million US satcom contract in June) and extends its tactical-terminal business into an Australian defense modernization program aimed at hardening ADF connectivity in contested environments, a niche other terminal makers are also chasing as militaries diversify beyond single satcom providers.
