what happened
Croatian Minister of Science, Education and Youth Radovan Fuchs signed the Artemis Accords on behalf of Croatia in Zagreb on September 23, per NASA's own release. Croatia is the 74th nation to join the accords; US Ambassador to Croatia Nicole McGraw and NASA Europe representative Gregory Mann attended the ceremony, per NASA and Croatia Week.
why it matters
Accession itself carries no contract, but NASA has used it as a prerequisite gating partner access to lunar-surface and CLPS-adjacent opportunities, and the signing continues a run of new European signatories this month.
