Nebex partners with Thrusters Unlimited to structure $700M for Mexico's space programs
Nebex · Thrusters Unlimited
Nebex and Thrusters Unlimited will jointly structure $700M in capital for Mexican sovereign space programs in EO and telecoms.
what happened
Nebex, a space-sector financial exchange, said it signed a framework agreement with Thrusters Unlimited, a Mexican Earth-observation satellite operator and manufacturer, to structure and execute Mexican sovereign space programs, beginning with an initial $700 million across Earth observation, telecommunications and other strategic capabilities, per the companies. Nebex will manage the flow of capital through its exchange platform, while Thrusters Unlimited provides local procurement connections and industrial know-how.
why it matters
Nebex, founded by former Axiom Space executives Tejpaul Bhatia and Anand Subramanian, is positioning itself as a clearinghouse for cross-border sovereign space deals, a financing gap the company says has caused viable space-sector deals to stall. If the Mexico program advances, it is a template EO and connectivity suppliers can watch for entry into sovereign-buyer markets that otherwise lack established procurement-financing mechanisms.
