Durri Space orders three optical ground stations from Cailabs for Oman network
Durri Space · Cailabs
Oman's Durri Space ordered three Cailabs TILBA-OGS laser ground stations to build an optical downlink network by 2028.

what happened
Durri Space, an Omani company owned by defense and tech firm Enjaaz Group, ordered three TILBA-OGS L10 optical ground stations from French laser-communications firm Cailabs, the companies announced Oct. 15, per Via Satellite. The ground stations are designed to support high-capacity space-to-ground optical links from satellites in low Earth orbit, with the network targeted to be operational across Oman by 2028, per Satellite Evolution Group. No contract value was disclosed.
why it matters
This is Cailabs' first named deployment in Oman and builds out optical-ground-station capacity that Durri Space plans to open to international satellite operators needing higher-throughput downlink, part of Oman's push under Vision 2040 to position itself as a ground-segment host for commercial operators beyond its own flag.
