Rocket Lab launches three more HawkEye 360 Hawk satellites
Rocket Lab's Electron deployed three HawkEye 360 Hawk RF-sensing satellites to a 520km orbit.

what happened
Rocket Lab launched its 98th Electron mission, "We're Not Hawking Around," from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand on Oct. 23, deploying three HawkEye 360 Hawk satellites to a 520-kilometer low Earth orbit, per Space.com and Rocket Lab's own mission statement republished by NewsroomAmerica. It was the 19th Electron launch of 2026 and the third dedicated HawkEye 360 mission flown on Electron since 2023.
why it matters
For HawkEye 360 and the governments that buy its maritime-tracking, GNSS-jamming-detection and signals-intelligence data, the launch keeps its RF-sensing constellation growing on schedule. For Rocket Lab, it's another entry in Electron's now-regular cadence of dedicated small-constellation missions, the recurring revenue base underneath the company's bigger Neutron and acquisition bets.
