EasyJet to equip fleet with Starlink Wi-Fi starting 2027
SpaceX · EasyJet
EasyJet will fit Starlink inflight Wi-Fi across roughly 300 Airbus jets starting in 2027, its first in-flight internet.

what happened
EasyJet said it will install SpaceX's Starlink satellite Wi-Fi across its Airbus A320 and A321 fleet, the airline's first in-flight internet offering. Installation begins in the first half of 2027 and is due to finish within about a year, covering roughly 300 of EasyJet's 375 aircraft (its 79 A319s are excluded). CEO Kenton Jarvis said connectivity matters to both leisure and business customers; EasyJet has not said whether access will be free or paid.
why it matters
EasyJet, Europe's biggest budget carrier by passengers (94 million a year), becomes the largest low-cost operator yet to commit to Starlink, following Wizz Air, Vueling and airBaltic, while Ryanair has held out. Each fleet-wide commitment adds to SpaceX's installed base against Viasat, Intelsat and Panasonic Avionics in a market where airlines increasingly treat onboard connectivity as a competitive differentiator rather than an amenity.
