what happened

SpaceX launched 27 Starlink V2 Mini Optimized satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base's Space Launch Complex 4E at 0825 UTC on Oct. 27, with the Falcon 9 first stage, booster B1082, completing its 26th flight and landing on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You off Baja California, per Launch Library and KeepTrack. It was B1082's 21st Starlink mission; the booster has also flown USSF-62, NROL-145, OneWeb Launch 20 and Transporter-18, per KeepTrack. The batch brings the constellation to 13,042 satellites launched, 11,166 in orbit and 11,151 working, per KeepTrack.

why it matters

Routine Starlink batches like this one remain the backbone of Falcon 9's launch cadence and SpaceX's broadband revenue base even as the company's attention shifts toward Starship; B1082's 26th flight keeps it among the most-flown Falcon 9 boosters as SpaceX approaches the vehicle's eventual retirement.
