Satellogic signs three-year deal to supply HEO with non-Earth imaging
Satellogic · HEO
Satellogic will task its NewSat satellites to photograph in-orbit objects for HEO's space-domain-awareness service under a new 3-year deal.

what happened
Satellogic and HEO signed a three-year non-Earth imaging agreement, extending a partnership that began in 2020, under which Satellogic will task its NewSat Mark IV, Mark V and Mark VI satellites, including its newest inter-satellite-link-equipped spacecraft, to photograph objects in orbit for HEO's space domain awareness service, per Via Satellite and New Space Economy. The deal carries a minimum seven-figure annual commitment for each of its three years, through 2029. The companies say they captured more than 1,600 images of in-orbit objects in the past year, up from about 30 in 2021.
why it matters
A recurring, multi-year non-Earth imaging contract shows real paying demand for pointing EO satellites at orbital objects rather than Earth, a niche space-domain-awareness business model other EO operators and SDA-data buyers are watching as the orbital environment gets more crowded.
