Albedo Space is an American aerospace manufacturing company founded in 2020 that develops and manufactures Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) satellites. It launched its first satellite, Clarity-1, in March 2025 aboard SpaceX's Transporter-13 rideshare mission, operating at an altitude of 320 km with a 10 cm panchromatic camera, 40 cm near-infrared multispectral band, and a 2 m thermal infrared camera. Clarity-1 lost communications after about nine months and reentered Earth's atmosphere on 10 June 2026. In October 2025 Albedo announced a strategic pivot from selling commercial satellite imagery to developing VLEO satellite buses for other payload operators.
