HCHainan Commercial Spaceport (Wenchang) / spaceport

The Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site, on Hainan island, is China's first commercial space launch site and the country's fifth space launch site, built and operated by the state-owned Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Co., Ltd. (HICAL). Construction began in July 2022; Launch Complex 1 was completed in December 2023 and Launch Complex 2 followed in 2024. Its first orbital launch was a Long March 12 demonstration flight from LC-2 on 30 November 2024, and the site had recorded 18 launches as of the cited page, with Tianlong-3, Pallas-1, Nebula-1, Gravity-2 and Kinetica 2 listed as future users of LC-2.
