what happened

SpaceX doubled pricing across its Starlink Business Aviation plans, per Benzinga and TechSpot. The Aviation Regional 25GB plan rose from $2,000 to $4,000 per month, a new Aviation Regional Unlimited plan launched at $12,500 per month, and Aviation Global Unlimited rose from $10,000 to $20,000 per month; the required hardware and installation package rose from $145,000 to $200,000. SpaceX will migrate existing Business Aviation customers to the new pricing on or after August 7, 2026. General Aviation plans for smaller aircraft are unchanged.

why it matters

A straight doubling of business-jet connectivity pricing, with no corresponding capability change disclosed, raises the cost basis for aviation resellers and fractional-jet operators building Starlink into their service tiers, and is a data point on SpaceX pricing its highest-willingness-to-pay connectivity customers more aggressively as Starlink's subscriber base matures.
