MatSing detailed a proprietary manufacturing process for large-format Luneburg lens antennas, per Via Satellite. The company said its materials and production methods let it scale production of lenses exceeding 50 wavelengths in aperture while maintaining high-gain multibeam performance across apertures from 0.5 to 2.4 meters and frequencies from L- through Ka-band, addressing phase errors that previously grew with lens size. MatSing executive vice president Leo Matytsine said the breakthrough transforms the large-format lens "from a laboratory concept into a practical engineering platform." The lenses will feed MatSing's next-generation LensSAT satellite antenna line, aimed at multi-satellite gateway antennas, LEO/MEO/GEO ground terminals, satellite teleports, and other RF sensing and radar applications.
