Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) decided to de-stack its RFA One rocket from the pad at SaxaVord Spaceport on Unst, Shetland, after encountering an unspecified issue with the vehicle during preparations for a hot-fire test, per Shetland News and the Shetland Times. RFA said only that it "made the decision to de-stack the vehicle in order to investigate" and would provide updates once confirmed. SaxaVord Spaceport said the temporary traffic regulation orders tied to the previously announced five-week launch window have been "put on hold until further notice"; RFA will need to apply for a new launch window before another attempt at what would be the UK's first orbital launch. OHB CEO Marco Fuchs, whose company is RFA's majority owner, said on OHB's August 6 earnings call that engineers took the rocket back into the hangar and opened up the tank to investigate, and that RFA's first test flight is "still planned for later this year," per SpaceNews.
