Optus said the Mission Extension Vehicle (MEV), operated by Northrop Grumman's SpaceLogistics, undocked from the Optus D3 geostationary satellite on Aug. 12 after providing over a year of attitude control and station-keeping. A Northrop Grumman Mission Robotic Vehicle (MRV) and a Mission Extension Pod (MEP) are already in orbit and undergoing orbit-raising, with rendezvous and MEP installation targeted for late 2027, per Optus and Via Satellite.
