TrustPoint and Hexagon subsidiary NovAtel demonstrated that an enhanced commercial GNSS receiver could acquire and track TrustPoint's C-band positioning signals while under interference, under a Naval Air Systems Command Small Business Innovation Research Phase II contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, per Via Satellite and GPS World. TrustPoint CEO Patrick Shannon said: "For the first time, C-band signals have operated through interference on a receiver the industry already trusts."

GPS-independent positioning, navigation and timing is a standing military requirement as electronic warfare threatens GNSS.
