A fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. local time on September 2 at Proton-PM's engine-manufacturing complex in Novye Lyady, near Perm, Russia, per Meduza and Militarnyi. Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry said the blaze covered roughly 2,100 square meters of an industrial building and was extinguished by around 11 a.m.; no casualties were reported, and the cause is undetermined. Proton-PM, part of the integrated NPO Energomash rocket-engine manufacturing structure, produces the RD-191 engine used in Russia's Angara launch vehicle family; a company representative declined to comment.
