IHC to acquire 80% stake in UAE's Marlan Holding
International Holding Company · Marlan Space
Abu Dhabi conglomerate IHC is buying a majority stake in Marlan Holding, parent of satellite-infrastructure firm Marlan Space.

what happened
Abu Dhabi's International Holding Company (IHC) is acquiring an 80% stake in Marlan Holding through its wholly owned subsidiary International Tech Group, per The National and Khaleej Times. No dollar value was disclosed. Marlan Holding is the parent of Marlan Space, an investor-operator in space and space-adjacent technologies whose portfolio includes Orbitworks, a joint venture with Loft Orbital that manufactures commercial satellites and operates the Altair earth-observation constellation (optical, hyperspectral, thermal, infrared and passive RF payloads) from Abu Dhabi's Kezad zone.
why it matters
The deal gives IHC, one of Abu Dhabi's largest investment groups, a direct platform in the new space economy and puts its capital behind Marlan Space's satellite-manufacturing and Earth-observation push. For Loft Orbital, its Orbitworks joint-venture partner now sits under a much larger, capital-rich parent, a potential accelerant for the Altair constellation's build-out and for the UAE's broader push into sovereign and commercial satellite infrastructure.
