SES launches SES CORE content orchestration platform
SES introduced SES CORE, a single-interface platform for broadcasters to orchestrate content delivery across satellite, fiber and IP.

what happened
SES said Sept. 11 it has launched SES CORE, a content orchestration and hybrid delivery platform that lets media and broadcast customers manage, monitor and orchestrate content delivery through one interface. SES describes the platform as infrastructure-neutral, giving customers real-time visibility into network performance and service status and automating operational tasks. "Customers are looking for simpler ways to manage that complexity while maintaining the visibility and reliability they depend on," said Deepak Mathur, SES's President of Media.
why it matters
The platform is SES's answer to broadcasters juggling an increasingly hybrid mix of satellite, fiber and IP delivery paths; a single orchestration layer is a retention play for media customers who might otherwise shift more distribution to terrestrial-only vendors.
