China SatNet launches 25th GuoWang satellite group from Hainan
A Long March-12 rocket deployed GuoWang's 25th satellite batch from Wenchang, taking the constellation past 200 satellites launched.

what happened
A Long March-12 rocket lifted off from the Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site in Hainan at 8:32 a.m. Beijing time on September 17, carrying the 25th group of nine GuoWang low-orbit internet satellites into their designated orbit, per China in Space and Guangming Online. China in Space reported the satellites were built by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and that 204 GuoWang spacecraft have now been launched.
why it matters
GuoWang is China SatNet's state-backed broadband megaconstellation, competing with Starlink and Qianfan/G60 for LEO connectivity market share and spectrum priority. Routine as this cadence has become, each batch narrows the gap toward GuoWang's planned scale of up to 13,000 satellites and keeps China on pace with its ITU filing deadlines.
