Blackswan Space raises €2.5 million seed to fund in-orbit RPO Kit demo
Blackswan Space · Orbit Fab
Lithuanian startup Blackswan Space closed a €2.5 million seed round to finance its first in-orbit RPO Kit demo.

what happened
Blackswan Space closed a €2.5 million ($2.8 million) seed round led by Iron Wolf Capital, with participation from Lemonade Stand, NGL Ventures and angel investors including NanoAvionics cofounder Linas Sargautis, the company told Payload. The round brings Blackswan's total funding to €3.2 million ($3.6 million) and will finance the first in-orbit demo of its RPO Kit, a vision-based navigation payload for autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations, expected to fly as a hosted payload in the fourth quarter of 2027.
why it matters
Orbit Fab has already selected Blackswan's RPO Kit to provide rendezvous and docking for its ESA-funded ASTRAL refueling mission, expected in 2028. A funded flight demo gives Blackswan a flight-proven track record to sell RPO capability to other in-space servicing companies that would rather buy the capability than build it themselves.
