Kratos wins more than $100 million in space intelligence data contracts
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions
Kratos won more than $100 million in combined contracts for space intelligence data and cyber-warfare tools for the Pentagon.

what happened
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions said it won multiple contracts worth more than $100 million combined to deliver space intelligence data and prototype cyber-warfare tools, per Via Satellite and the company's own release as reproduced by Satcom.Digital. The work draws on Kratos' KnownSpace Network of more than 190 RF sensors across 20-plus locations plus its field-portable KnownSpace Recon+ terminals to collect and process radio-frequency signals, feeding intelligence on the operational environment and the joint targeting cycle. Kratos did not name the customer or customers.
why it matters
A nine-figure award for RF-collection-based space intelligence work shows the Pentagon continuing to buy commercial space domain awareness and electronic-warfare capability rather than building it in house, a trend that benefits other RF-sensing and SDA vendors competing for the same budget lines.
