SEALSQ leads $10 million PIPE investment in sister company WISeSat

SEALSQ led a $10 million related-party PIPE investment in WISeSat.Space to fund satellite expansion and post-quantum security.
what happened
SEALSQ Corp (Nasdaq: LAES) led a $10 million private investment in public equity (PIPE) in WISeSat.Space Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: SAIQ) at $10.79 per share, closing October 1, per SEALSQ's own release. Both companies are subsidiaries of WISeQey Corp, making it a related-party transaction. The capital will fund expansion of WISeSat's low Earth orbit IoT satellite constellation and integrate SEALSQ's post-quantum chips, digital identity solutions and PKI services across its space, ground and user-segment architecture. SEALSQ CEO Carlos Moreira said the deal brings "together two companies within the WISeQey group around a shared goal: making space infrastructure secure against both current and future cyber threats."
why it matters
The investment gives WISeSat, a small satellite-IoT operator that only began trading via SPAC merger days earlier, fresh capital for its constellation buildout, though the related-party structure means it reflects internal capital allocation within the WISeQey group rather than independent investor validation.
