what happened
EarthDaily said it is aligning its Burn Severity and Perimeter Data product, which maps fire extent and severity throughout an active fire event rather than after containment, to the portfolio of "a leading Australian insurer," per EarthDaily's own release. The company did not name the insurer or disclose a contract value.
why it matters
It is EarthDaily's first wildfire-product deployment in Australia after building the capability for North American insurers, a geography expansion worth tracking for other EO operators selling into catastrophe-response and insurance workflows.
