Argotec raises its first outside funding, 50 million euros from Nuo
Argotec
Italian smallsat maker Argotec took its first-ever outside capital, 50 million euros, to scale production.

what happened
Argotec, a Turin-based smallsat manufacturer founded in 2008, closed a 50 million euro (about $55.8 million) investment from Nuo Space, the investment vehicle of Milan holding company Nuo, led by Tommaso Paoli, per Payload, Il Sole 24 Ore and ANSA. It is the company's first outside capital after 18 years of self-funded growth. The money will fund R&D, expand Argotec's Turin and Florida production facilities, and grow satellite data-based services, with a goal of raising annual production capacity from 52 to 80 satellites. ANSA reported Argotec's 2025 revenue at 57 million euros, with 2026 revenue expected to reach 70 million euros.
why it matters
Argotec builds smallsats for NASA, ESA and JAXA/ISRO's LUPEX mission, and this is the first time it has taken outside capital rather than self-funding growth since 2008. For resellers and agencies sourcing satellite buses, the planned jump to 80 satellites a year signals more manufacturing capacity entering a market where launch and bus lead times are already a bottleneck for smallsat operators.
