Voyager names former Space Force chief Saltzman to lead advisory board
Voyager named retired Space Force chief Gen. Chance Saltzman chairman of its board of advisors.

what happened
Voyager Technologies announced November 2 that it has named Gen. B. Chance Saltzman (U.S. Space Force, Ret.), the second Chief of Space Operations and a former member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as chairman of its board of advisors, per the company's wire release and SpaceNews. Voyager president Matt Kuta said the appointment comes "as national security, defense and civil space continue to intersect" and that Saltzman's "judgment will sharpen how we serve our customers and how we compete for the programs that matter most"; Saltzman said he is "looking forward to helping the team turn that potential into capability," citing a national security space mission "expanding faster than industry can currently meet it."
why it matters
A recently retired Space Force chief taking a formal advisory role at a national-security-space contractor is a commercial-access signal: it gives Voyager a direct line to the thinking of the service that is one of its largest potential customers, at a moment the company is expanding its defense and space-systems lines through its Astrobotic acquisition and Space Force contract wins.
