Rocket Lab announced Aug. 10 that it formally established Rocket Lab Germany GmbH, based in Munich, built from a shelf company renamed in the spring around the time Rocket Lab completed its acquisition of Munich-based optical terminal maker Mynaric AG. On its Aug. 10 earnings call, CEO Peter Beck outlined three pillars for the unit: satellite manufacturing, assured access to space, and strategic autonomy, per European Spaceflight and Defence Industry Europe.
