PLD Space said Sept. 1 it added €108 million to its Series C round, led again by Mitsubishi Electric, bringing the round to €288 million and the company's total funding to €488 million, per European Spaceflight and AeroTime. New investors including Endeavor Catalyst and the Spain Oman Private Equity Fund joined the extension.

why it matters

The raise lands a week after PLD Space won a €158.9 million European Launcher Challenge contract, giving Europe's newest orbital launch contender fresh capital to industrialize its Miura 5 rocket, expand production and test capacity, and build launch infrastructure ahead of Miura 5's planned late-2026 debut. It is the company's largest funding round to date.
