Vantor wins Navy contract to support Indo-Pacific maritime awareness
Vantor's Maritime Sentry will feed SAR and optical imagery into the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness.
what happened
Vantor said Sept. 1 it was awarded a Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific contract to deliver its Maritime Sentry maritime-intelligence subscription, combining SAR and electro-optical satellite imagery with AI vessel detection, to support the Indian Navy and regional partners under the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA). The subscription includes dark-vessel tracking, API integration with SeaVision and Indian Navy systems, and dedicated program management and satellite-collection support, per Vantor's own release.
why it matters
It extends Vantor's foundation-imaging and tasking business into a live US-Australia-India-Japan maritime security program, giving the company a recurring government subscription in a region where commercial SAR and EO operators are competing for defense-tasking contracts.
