ESA gave its 2026 excellence and innovation awards to Surrey Satellite Technology (prime-contractor Excellence Award, for delivering two HydroGNSS satellites on a demanding schedule), Sener (sub-contractor Excellence Award, for its work on the MetOp Second Generation program with EUMETSAT), and CompPair Technologies (Innovation Award, for self-healing composite materials with embedded sensors), the agency announced Sept. 16 at its Industry Space Days event at ESTEC. Nine nominations across three categories were evaluated.
