Manastu Space raises Rs 22 crore in Series A extension
Manastu Space
Manastu Space, an Indian green-propulsion and debris-avoidance startup, raised Rs 22 crore ($2.3 million) in a Series A extension.

what happened
Manastu Space raised Rs 22 crore ($2.3 million) in a Series A extension from Gandhi Securities and Investments, the Thacker Legacy Trusts, and angel investors, per Inc42, which cited regulatory filings. The Mumbai-based startup, founded in 2017 by Tushar Jadhav and Ashtesh Kumar, builds a hydrogen-peroxide green propulsion system for satellites along with in-orbit refuelling and debris-avoidance technology; it has raised more than $9 million to date and separately holds a Rs 116 crore commitment from India's Technology Development Board as optionally convertible debentures.
why it matters
The round is small, but it keeps a domestic supplier of satellite propulsion and debris-avoidance hardware funded as Indian operators and ISRO look to cut reliance on imported thrusters; Manastu says its fuel offers 50% higher performance than hydrazine, a pitch aimed at both new constellations needing propulsion and the growing collision-avoidance market.
