Space Epoch
Space Epoch closed a Series B++ round, pushing capital raised over six months past 2.3 billion yuan ($342 million), per Caixin Global.

what happened
Chinese reusable-rocket startup Space Epoch closed a Series B++ funding round, led by IDG Capital, Chaos Investment, Hangzhou Capital and Songyuan Capital, bringing the capital it has raised over the past six months to more than 2.3 billion yuan ($342 million), per Caixin Global. The company says the funds will support development of its reusable Yuanxingzhe-1 rocket and a first orbital launch and recovery attempt later this year.
why it matters
The round adds to a wave of Chinese reusable-launch funding this year as private and state-linked investors race to match SpaceX-style booster reuse ahead of Yuanxingzhe-1's planned debut; a successful recovery attempt would make Space Epoch one of the first Chinese private companies to demonstrate the capability.
